News from the 81st edition of the Régates de Valleyfield

Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, December 10, 2018. – The Régates de Valleyfield organization is proud to announce a major innovation for the 2019 edition which will take place on July 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 and 14.

First weekend free

The Régates de Valleyfield Board of Directors wishes to offer the first weekend of the festivities surrounding the 81st edition on July 5 and 6, free of charge. “We want to allow the entire population to enjoy quality shows through our major event,” said Michel Poirier, General Manager.

New price of the race and show package

In connection with the free weekend, the Valleyfield Regatta announced a reduction in the price of racing and entertainment packages. Moving forward, you can purchase your package for       $59.99 on presale until June 24th.

Gift certificates are on sale at the Maison des Régates (395 Victoria Street, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield). Please note that the online sale will only begin in April.

Revealing of the headliners at the SAQ night shows for the 2019 edition

On the Loto-Québec stage, the British Show will perform on Saturday, July 6, 2019. This British-inspired show, featuring four great stage performers; Yvan Pedneault, Renée Wilkin, Pascal Dufour and Jérôme Couture and / or Philippe Berghella (alternately). You will have a lot to look at with the visual effects and breathtaking voices!

On Friday, July 12, Sylvain Cossette, ten years after the resounding success of the 70s tour, will return to the Loto-Québec stage with the 80s show. He and his musicians will perform the greatest hits of U2, The B.B., David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Queen and many others.

The honor of closing the festivities of the cultural element of the 81st edition will go to none other than Eric Lapointe, Saturday, July 13 right after the fireworks. “The missed rendez-vous at the 80th anniversary of the Valleyfield Regatta will not happen again,” said Michel Poirier, General Manager.
