Grant Liddycoat joins the H350 Class for the 2025 Season

The future of hydroplane racing is in good hands! At just 17 years old, Grant Liddycoat is set to officially join the highly competitive Hydro 350 classfor the 2025 season. Son of Scott Liddycoat, a Valleyfield winner and well-known Unlimited class driver, Grant has been making waves in the racing world with his impressive skills, professionalism, and determination. His talent and dedication have earned him a well-deserved spot the H350 class.

With Grant’s addition, the H350 fleet is now complete, with 20 boats, further solidifying this category as one of the most competitive on the circuit. His boat, SEND IT H-97, will maintain its identity while undergoing a few tweaks to prepare for this exciting new challenge.

A natural progression for the team

After securing two podium finishes in two different classes over the past two years, the decision to move up to H350 was a logical next step for Grant and his team. His father,Scott Liddycoat, explains the thought process behind the transition:

“Our plan has always beento move Grant up to H350! We feel he is ready for the next challenge, and we had to decide whether to keep investing in F2500 to stay competitive or make the jump… We made the jump!”

As for the team’s goals for the 2025 season, the focus is clear: work hard and give Grant the best opportunity to succeed in his new class.

“Three podiums in three years? That sounds pretty cool!” Scott adds with a smile.
