THE FORTIN MOTOSPORTS F-199 BECOMES THE D-ROCK RACING TEAM F-104

The Fortin Motosports F-199, a notable and respected player in the Formula 2 500 category, enters a new phase by adopting the name D-Rock Racing Team F-104. Martin Desrochers, the new owner, expresses a deep satisfaction at the thought of taking the helm of the boat as of today.

FORMERLY OWNED BY SIMON FORTIN

In this regard, Martin wishes to express his heartfelt gratitude towards Simon Fortin, the former owner. He commends his commitment and professionalism, which have greatly contributed to the history of the boat over the past years. Martin Desrochers is also excited to participate in the upcoming events: North Tonawanda in August and Beauharnois in September. To conclude the current year, Ben Toupin will be driving the boat. The decision on the driver for next year will be made before the start of the 2024 season.

Martin’s grand dream is to allow his son Lucas to take the helm of the vessel as soon as possible. However, according to the current rules, the driver must be at least 16 years old in the absence of prior driving experience. Currently aged 14, Lucas will turn 16 just a few days after next season.

A FAMILY STORY

Beyond the transactional aspect, this acquisition is a family story. Each member will be involved and will have a role to play during the races. The family business, Paysagement Desrochers, will be the main sponsor. It is worth noting that the team members will remain responsible for the H-104 Gestion Unick, driven by Marc Lecompte.

The HRL is thrilled to welcome the D-Rock Racing Team F-104 for the remainder of the 2023 season and wishes them the best of luck.
