Eric Labelle ready to make his return on the water with the General C

Famous race boat driver Eric Labelle will make his return to the HRL series this season, racing the General C in the F2500 class. After a long break, Eric is ready to get back to winning ways.

 

His notable experience as a driver led to his reclassification from the 2.5 Litre class to the F2500. He hopes to improve his boat’s performance and get even better results on the water.

“I am very excited to be back in the HRL series,” said Eric Labelle. I rediscovered my passion for driving when I competed at Brockville in 2019 and I’m thrilled to be able to compete in these high-intensity races again.”

Over the course of his career, he has won many renowned races behind the wheel of the Do-It CE-1 (5 Litre), including 7 points championships and 4 triumphs in the finals at the Régates de Valleyfield. This passion has inspired him to follow his dream of racing again and he is now ready to take on new challenges.

 

The owner of the boat, François Jolicoeur, expressed his confidence in Eric and declared that the General C is in good hands. However, he admitted that there are still some repairs to be done on the boat, which could compromise his participation in the Cambridge races.

 

The first HRL Series event of the season will be held in Sorel-Tracy on June 3rd and 4th where Eric Labelle will make his debut. Race boat fans can expect exciting racing and amazing performances from the General C.
