Donald Leduc returns to the Hydro 350 class!

Passion never fades—it simply resurfaces, stronger than ever. After several years away from competition, Donald Leduc is making his long-awaited return, this time in the Hydro 350 class.

Turning 45 next summer, Donald recently acquiredthe H-195, a boat previously driven by Tyler Kaddatz. He’s renaming it the New Cannonball H-48, a nod to his former 2.5-litre boat. Surrounded by loyal partners and a dedicated crew, Donald is thrilled to feel the adrenaline of racing again: “I missed it!” he says with a big smile.

This return marks a new chapter in an already impressive career. Fans will remember his F-48 Cannonball, a 2.5-litre hydroplane with which he earned three championships, three Sunday final wins, and one Friday final victory at Valleyfield, plus wins at every site where he competed.

Although he stepped away from the docks in 2018, the dream of racing in the Hydro 350class never left him. His comeback carries deep family pride, as he is the grandson of the late Jules Leboeuf, a legendary driver from the 1960s–1970s affectionately known as “Le Foot.”. A true enthusiast, Jules left his mark on the sport with his daring spirit and commitment, inspiring an entire generation of racers, including his grandson, who nowcontinues that legacy.

Donald’s main partner for this new adventure will be Construction Lecompte Inc., owned by Félix Landry and Jean-Michel Lecompte, both former members of his Cannonball crew. Donald also wishes to thank his spouse, his parents, who still feel the pre-race nerves, and his two sons, with whom he looks forward to sharing special family moments at the races.

His arrival will undoubtedly add even more excitement to the already spectacular Hydro 350 class, known for its thrilling and unpredictable races.

Welcome back, Donald!
