DEATH OF DRIVER FRANÇOIS LEROUX

THE HYDROPLANCE RACING FAMILY IN MOURNING

It is with sadness that the Régates de Valleyfield and the Hydroplane Racing League (HRL) learned of the passing of Sherbrooke resident François Leroux, driver of the H-447 Miss OMG, following an accident that occurred during the Hydro 350 class consolation final on Sunday, July 14, at the Robert-Théorêt racecourse in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.

Both organizations wish to extend their deepest condolences and continuous support to the driver’s family and loved ones. Their thoughts also go out to the nautical and medical teams and the safety brigade who were present at the time of the accident.

Out of respect and discretion for the family of François Leroux, the Régates de Valleyfield and the Hydroplane Racing League will not comment further on the situation.
