Alice Caron moves up to the 2.5-Litre Class

After three seasons in the Novice class, young driver Alice Caron is taking a major step forward in her racingcareer by joining the 2.5-Litre class for the 2026 season. She will keep her signature number, S-13, and continue to race under the name Lucky Thirteen, just as she did at the start of her journey.

Turning 16 this December, Alice becomes the firstgraduate of the Novice program to move up to an inboard class. This transition marks an important milestone for the sport’s next generation, demonstrating that the creation of the Novice class three years ago is fulfilling its purpose, helping young drivers progress and remain active in the world of hydroplane racing.

From a young age, Alice has been drawn to speed, competition, and thestrong team spirit that defines the sport. She particularly enjoys the camaraderie among drivers and the constant support of her family, but above all, it’s the adrenaline that fuels her drive to push further every race.

For the upcoming season, her focus will be on safety andlearning. The goal is tomaster the power of her new boat, complete her laps, and return to the dock with growing confidence. She will be able to count on the mentorship of Dominic Maisonneuve, as well as the support of all the 2.5-Litre class drivers.

Inspired by driver Stéphanie Blain, who paved the way for many young women in the sport, Alice will be the only woman competing in an inboard class on the HRL circuit this season.

Alice and her family would like to thank their partners for their support, including Hobby 2000 and Karma Esthétique, who have believed in her since the very beginning.

She also wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to her parents and family, who constantly encourage her
and stand by her throughout this adventure. “I know it’s going to bring a lot of emotions, especially for my mom, but I’m so thankful they’re letting me chase my dream,” she shared with emotion.
