A new boat for Mathis-Gabriel Chiasson on the HRL circuit in 2025
- –
Young driver Mathis-Gabriel Chiasson will make his debut on the 2025 HRL circuit with a brand-new boat, built by the renowned Henderson team, thanks to the support of his loyal sponsor, Toitures N. Legault.
While he’s doing everything he can to be ready for the first race of the season in Cambridge, Mathis-Gabriel still has a lot of work ahead to complete all the necessary preparations. But he’s more motivated than ever.
“I truly believe that with this new boat, he’ll be running at the front,” says Marcel Brossard, owner of Toitures N. Legault.
Impressed by the young driver’s past performances and potential, Mr. Brossard didn’t hesitate to support the construction of a lighter, more stable, and high-performance boat, giving Mathis-Gabriel every chance to shine.
Among the technical innovations of the boat:
- A type 4 capsule, more spacious than the previously used type 3 capsule, similar to that of a Hydro 350
- A chromoly safety cage, a steel alloy made of chromium and molybdenum, known for its strength and lightness, often used in race cars
- A composite fiber halo, a Formula 1-inspired protective structure placed in front of the capsule’s windshield to protect the driver’s head from impacts or debris
- A Hydro 350-style wing, more responsive to changing water conditions, offering increased stability and control
Mathis-Gabriel will continue using the Honda engine that has served him well so far.
Having started his career in 2019, he approaches the 2025 season with clear goals: win the championship, get comfortable with his new machine, deliver strong performances—but above all, have fun and embrace the challenge at every race.
He’ll also benefit from the support of his mentor Patrick Haworth, an experienced and respected driver in the racing world, who plays a vital role in his development.
“I’m truly lucky to have such a dedicated sponsor like Toitures N. Legault, and a mentor like Patrick. It’s an incredible opportunity,” says Mathis-Gabriel.
With this new boat and a strong team around him, Mathis-Gabriel Chiasson is gearing up for a promising 2025 season, ready to take on every challenge ahead.
