Biography

What are your goals for 2026?

At the team level, with the arrival of new teammates, the goal is to remain efficient and ensure that everyone is comfortable in their role, while also being able to push themselves. We want to maintain our impeccable work ethic and hard work day after day throughout the season. With our entry into Formula F and strong competition, our first goal is to finish all our races. That’s the key to success. With the team in place and past performances, I believe competing in the top 3 throughout the year is ambitious but achievable. Of course, we’d be lying if we didn’t mention that we want to win the Valleyfield Regattas.

What made you want to become a hydroplane driver?

The influence of Patrick Haworth. Growing up with him as a role model, he introduced me to regattas at a very early age. From the age of 7, he told me that in a few years I would have a boat of my own. After spending a few summers with Michael Grendell’s Bad Influence H-79 team, where Patrick was the driver, I realized it was truly a passion and that I wanted to speed across the water myself, foot to the floor.

What does the name and number of your boat mean?

The name ‘How?’ is a nod to the Haworth family, a legendary name in the world of hydroplanes, with Russell, Warren, and Patrick Haworth. Their boats were called ‘Why?’ or ‘Why not?’ I wanted to pay tribute to them by keeping the same theme while adding my personal touch. I also proudly carry the Haworth family #57 because of Patrick, who was my stepfather for about 12 years. To this day, he remains a mentor to me.
