How was your performance in 2018? What were your strong and weak points?
Things started slowly. We grew as a team once we became reliable. We found more and more speed, we progressed on to becoming more familiar with HRL circuit & rules. Weak points were certainly our starts, not dore the clock starts before. We look forward to the challenge 2019 brings.
Are there any changes to your boat or your team?
2019 we as the NZ team will be running a two boat team. The boat will have changes for benefits of my driving style and to be a lot more comfortable. We will have new hardware and propellers programs as I think this is one of the important aspect of the boat.
Do you have any rituals just before the race?
I like to plan my race before I hit the water, stay very really relaxed. I like to be alone, this way, I stay focused on what’s coming in front of me. But always say to myself of how luck I am to have the opportunity to do what I love, so enjoy every minute I can on and off the water.
What are your goals for the 2019 season?
In 2018, we finished in 5th position. For 2019 I would like to be in the top 3 and of course would love to win Valleyfield. That would become a dream come true!
