How was your performance in 2018? What were your strong and weak points?
Our results were not what we had hoped for going into the season. Due to some unforeseen mechanical issues and just some plain bad luck, we didn’t achieve our goals. The team stayed positive and finished the year strong. After the last race of 2018, the team began to plan out the off season in great spirits.
Are there any changes to your boat or your team?
The team named Tanner Kunst as the F2500 Crew Chief as well as welcomed Paul Barber to the team to pilot in the H-350 class.
Do you have any rituals just before the race?
Find a quiet spot in or near the trailer and go over race scenarios. Review timing marks, check water conditions and course layout. Mentally prepare and focus on the task at hand. Win.
What are your goals for the 2019 season?
The number one goal, personally as well as team wide, is to win. I know that there are many hurdles to overcome to be able to stand atop the podium. I, as a driver and we, as a team, know that 100% preparation, finely tuned equipment, and have driven a great race guarantees nothing. If that win eludes us, at the end of the weekend, we know we have worked together, as one team, to have done our very best.
